Bhavi stars as Gods Reign storm into the GG LEAGUE Pro Series Qualifier 1 final
After sending compatriots Victores Sumus home from the GG LEAGUE Pro Series Qualifier 1 in the quarter-final, Gods Reign were up against UAE-mix team NoHardFeelingsS in the semi-final.
The series kicked off on NoHardFeelingsS' pick of Nuke as the Middle Eastern squad started with the T pistol as AboodS denied Ph1NNN a 1v2 clutch in the opening round. Bhavi and f1redup's A hold got the Indian team on the board after NoHardFeelingsS converted against the eco. It was akazgod1 and SultaaN- powering up as their impactful T-side fragging saw NoHardFeelingsS start with a four round lead. The second half pistol was crucial for Gods Reign as they brought themselves back into the game and a couple of crucial 1v2s from R2B2 and a 2v4 conversion from Bhavi and reV3nnnn helped Gods Reign close out Nuke at 13-10. Bhavi was the one leading from the front for Gods Reign, topping the server with 27 kills.
NoHardFeelingsS kicked off the Indian team's pick of Inferno with the same sloppiness they showed on Nuke as Bhavi and Ph1NNN turned around a 2v4 to give Gods Reign the T sided pistol. Bhavi and f1redup's firepower early on put Gods Reign on a 4-0 start. NoHardFeelingsS strung together a couple of rounds towards the end of the opening half to keep Gods Reign's lead to four and picked up a much needed T-sided pistol of their own to bring it to a one-round game before Gods Reign finally got a CT round on board thanks to a reV3nnnn multi-kill with the AWP. It was reV3nnnn's AWP which took control of the map as Gods Reign went on to pick up Inferno 13-9 to take the series 2-0.
The win not only sends Gods Reign into the GG LEAGUE Pro Series Qualifier 1 but they also book their place in the GG LEAGUE Pro Series Playoffs, which will have the top two teams from the four qualifiers battling it out for a prize pool of $2000. The second semi-final is another all Pakistan encounter as Aim Stars taking on WahWah and will decide Gods Reign's opponents in the final, which is certain to be an India - Pakistan encounter.
