More Cache renders surface

FMPONE shows latest developments on X

Through a post on X, FMPONE has given the Counter-Strike community a sneak peek into the latest developments of the community beloved map de_cache. A reworked Vertigo made it's way back into the competitive map pool in 2019, removing Cache from competitive play.

The new set of renders posted on X by FMPONE shows T-spawn, the area outside A-main and the path leading into the hallways of squeaky. However, the pathway leading into the hallways of squeaky displays the environmental dome at the entrance, hinting that squeaky and the hallway leading up to it are yet to be done.

The new renders also show Cache in a rainy setting with puddles of muddy water just outside T-spawn and squeaky's hallways, leveraging Source 2 engine's water capabilities. A tint of reddish-orange outside squeaky's hallways and the overcast setting suggests that FMPONE might be leaning towards setting the map with an evening or golden-hour theme.

As per FMPONE's discord server, Cache is estimated to arrive in full capacity in early 2025. A-site, A-long, A-main, B-halls, B-checkers, B-site, garage, middle and T-spawn have taken shape in the current version of Cache with no ETA on a playtest build.
