ATOX take down Clutch
Starting on the CT-side of Nuke, ATOX got off to a shaky start after fumbling the anti-eco and giving away an initial 1-3 lead to Clutch but kabal and sk0R fragged out, as ATOX recovered and secured an 8-4 half. ATOX dropped just a single round in the second half, closing out Nuke 13-5 with sk0R topping the charts with 23 frags.
Going into Ancient, ATOX started on the T-side and overwhelmed the CTs with glocks to pick up the pistol round and converted the anti-eco. A Five-7 double kill from Tsogoo opened the round up for Clutch, putting the Ts on the backfoot. It was clouden and Tsogoo with frequent multi-kill rounds who propelled Clutch to an 8-4 lead.
Clutch started strong in the second half but sk0R's M4a1s 4K fetched ATOX a crucial round after which, ATOX's increasing confidence could be seen with knife and zeus kill attempts in the rounds that followed. ATOX levelled the score at 10-10 and a series a back and forth trades pushed the map into overtime.
After dropping the initial couple of rounds in overtime, ATOX geared up and swept overtime with four rounds in a row to close the map 16-14 and the series 2-0, locking in their grand-final spot at the MESA Pro Series Fall 2024 Finals. ATOX will face IHC in the grand-final.
