s1mple's LAN return ends in defeat

Not the return to LAN s1mple was looking for

s1mple's LAN return saw the Falcons kick off their ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 campaign against SAW in the Group A opener and it was far from the ideal return for Counter-Strike's greatest player.

The action kicked off with Magisk and dupreeh turning around a 2v4 on their T side to give themselves the opening round but SAW answered back with five in a row before a B hit with impact from the Major-winning Danish duo once again got them back on scoreboard. The Falcons could manage just one more round as a sloppy T side from Snappi's boys saw them concede a 3-9 lead.

Falcons' CT side saw them start with the pistol and it was dupreeh leading the comeback as Falcons brought it to a one-round game before SAW finally got a T-sided round. A crucial 1v2 from Ag1l kept SAW in the game and the Portuguese team caused quite the upset, closing things out at 13-11, with s1mple yet to win a game in CS2.

Falcons now will take on Eternal Fire in the Group A elimination game, with Eternal Fire having lost their opening game to B8 earlier in the day.
