s1mple returns to LAN today
After making is return to competitive Counter-Strike earlier this week, Counter-Strike icon and Ukrainian superstar s1mple will be action in action on LAN today, for the first time since the Grand Final of the ESL Pro League Season 18, which took place in October 2023.
Following the completion of the ESL Pro League Season 18, which Natus Vincere (NAVI) lost 0-3 to MOUZ, s1mple to a prolonged break from competitive gameplay, having played only one game in between at the BLAT Premier Spring Showdown 2024 for Falcons, on loan in March 2024. Post that, he was once again missing from action but earlier this month it was revealed that the Saudi Arabian organisation, Falcons, had once again loaned in s1mple from NAVI, until the end of the year.
s1mple made his return at the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, playing online with the likes of Magisk, dupreeh and Snappi. After a slow start in the opening map against 3DMAX, s1mple showed signs of his old self on Nuke, although there was little to no support for him which saw Falcons start with a 0-2 loss. In the elimination game, it was s1mple leading from the front once again and once again the star AWPer found no support and although he ended the game with an impressive 1.24 rating, the Falcons went down 0-2 to Virtus.pro, which boasted of s1mple's former teammate electroNic.
s1mple currently boasts of a 1.07 rating in CS2 with an impact rating of 1.15 and will be looking to get back to his old self as he returns to LAN in Poland at the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 event. Falcons kick off their campaign against SAW in the Group A opening BO1. s1mple will be in action later on today at 16:30 IST as he returns to the LAN stage.
