Gods Reign bows out of eXTREMESLAND after loss to Chinggis Warriors
The elimination game for the Indian side Gods Reign saw them take on Chinggis Warriors at ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2024.
The series started on Anubis, Chinggis Warriors' pick, where it was Gods Reign that first found success on the T-side. They managed to establish a 9-3 lead before switching to the CT side, where their defences crumbled. They managed to win just a single round on the back of light pistols, ultimately losing by a 10-13 scoreline.
Putting their first map woes aside, Gods Reign entered the T-side of Ancient by posting a couple of rounds on the board. The tides turned as Chinggis Warrior managed to put a leash on the antics, restricting them to a 4-8 half. This time around, however, f1redup, who has had his fair share of troubles this tournament, came alive to lead Gods Reign to a 13-11 victory.
The final map in play was Mirage, where it was a bloodbath for controlez, who notched 20 kills in the first half to put Chinggis Warriors in a comfortable lead of 9-3. A Pyrrhic victory then followed on the pistol round, where Gods Reign conceded a 4v1 to NEUZ's heroics.While Gods Reign fought back in the buy rounds Chinggis Warriors managed to close out the game by a 13-8 margin.
