The MongolZ reflect on their journey

After booking their playoffs berth at IEM Katowice 2025, The MongolZ took to X, writing up to reflect on their Counter-Strike journey, specifically their IEM Katowice journey. In their post they pointed out that maaRaa was the team's coach back then and nine long years later, the Mongolian Counter-Strike veteran is still coaching The MongolZ.

"Thank you for never giving up" wrote The MongolZ in their post, lauding maaRaa for his perseverance and dedication towards Mongolian and Asian Counter-Strike. maaRaa was also nominated under the coach of the year category at the HLTV Awards 2024.

maaRaa has attracted praise from many reputable figures in the Counter-Strike community including Elfishguy who regarded him as a father figure for The MongolZ who kept them out of drama. The MongolZ's rise has come at an astonishing rate in 2024, going as far as making the playoffs at the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major.
