Victores Sumus dominate Gods Reign to make Skyesports Pro League 2025 CS2 Final
It was a surprising start to the Skyesports Pro League 2025 CS2 Playoffs as Victores Sumus stunned India's no.1 team, Gods Reign in their semi-final encounter, putting up a commanding performance to make the Grand Final.
Gods Reign's pick of Train kicked off the semi-final with f1redup and R2B2 laying down the law in the pistol to help Gods Reign go 4-0 up before Victores Sumus' defence got going. Four in a row quickly saw the score tied up at 4-4 and went on to pick up six in a row to end their CT half with a two-round lead. A f1redup 1v2 helped Gods Reign lock in both pistols on Train which helped them tie up the score at 7-7. Once Benezene and co. brought out the guns, Gods Reign's defence couldn't hold on against a sharp Victores Sumus squad who ran away to a 13-8 win with Benzene on top of the scoreboard with 22 kills.
Gods Reign's T side saw the run away to a 6-0 start on their opponents' pick of Dust2. A triple from arakyN saw Victores Sumus get their first on the board. A Ph1NNN ace saw Gods Reign turn around a 3v5 against the pistols to win the half and it was Ph1NNN 1v2 to close out the half as Gods Reign hit 10 on their T side. Rossi, who had a poor opening map, made sure Gods Reign secured both pistols on Dust2 as a quad kill from Rossi saw Gods Reign put the final nail in the coffin and they closed it at 13-5.
Crucial clutches on their CT half saw Victores Sumus start the decider on Ancient with a big 9-3 lead with arakyN and Benzene leading the way. Gods Reign fought back on their CT half but it was Victores Sumus holding on for a 13-11 win to seal their spot in the Grand Final with a 2-1 series win.
