ENCE knock out GamerLegion
ENCE knocked out GamerLegion from the Brazy Party 2023 tournament following a three map series which saw ENCE stomp GamerLegion out on the decider on Nuke.
The first map of Group C's elimination match was on ENCE's pick on Mirage. ENCE took the pistol but GamerLegion ran away with the force buy and managed to put six rounds on the board before ENCE could net their second round. There was no relief for ENCE as GamerLegion absolutely wiped out ENCE in the following round and just as it looked like GamerLegion would run away with the first half, ENCE put together a couple of rounds right at the end to finish the half 6-9 in Gamer Legion's favour.
ENCE took the pistol in the second half to tie up the score at 8-8. ENCE kept the rounds rolling as their in-game leader (IGL) Snappi managed to get an ace to further bolster ENCE's lead, It was an absolutely flawless CT half from ENCE as they closed out the map 16-8 with NertZ ending the map with a knife. GamerLegion could manage eight kills in total in the second half, which says everything you need to know about ENCE's domination.
It was ENCE this time starting on the CT side of GamerLegion's pick of Overpass. It was GamerLegion again with the pistol in the first half of the second map. ENCE got on the scoreboard once the guns were out and a strong fast from them saw a 9-6 half. It looked like ENCE would run away with the map at 15-10, but Gamer Legion converted a half buy before pushing ENCE to overtime.
It was GamerLegion who took the first round in overtime but it was a scrappy affair from ENCE on overtime as they failed to close out the match in overtime 1. ENCE failed to capitalise on their multiple map points, which led to GamerLegion finally closing out the map at 22-20. iM, siuhy and acoR all ended the second map with 30+ kills which saw GamerLegion keep themselves alive in the series.
The decider was played on Nuke and ENCE took the pistol on the CT side. GamerLegion won the force buy but ENCE buoyed by strong performances from Snappi and dycha, went on an absolute tear to finish the first half 12-3. ENCE took the second pistol to clean up the map and series 16-3.
ENCE now will face the winner of Astralis and SAW.
