Astralis sweep ENCE in Brazy Party decider
After repeated LAN failures, including failing to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major, Astralis finally addressed the elephant in the room. Xyp9x went down to the Astralis Talent, while Altekz replaced him in the main squad. That move seems to have paid dividends, as while Brazy Party is a lower-tier online event, this is the most amount of success the org has had since 2022.
The match kicked off on Overpass. From the word go, the Danes had the upper hand despite being on the T side. They picked up the pistol round and converted it into a streak of 6 rounds straight. With nobody except Nertz performing for ENCE, Astralis capitalised on the weakened defence and took 12-round half on the attack. Over on the CT side, they quickly closed the game out as blameF's silence was covered by everyone else contributing to the win.
In contrast to the first map, Mirage was as close as possible, going the whole 30 rounds. The half started with another pistol win for Astralis, but this time ENCE answered in round 3 to keep the Danes in check. Nertz and Sunpayus put together 28 kills in the half to net ENCE 8 T side rounds, but Astralis kept the score level going into the second half.
Another pistol win for Astralis meant that gla1ve's troops were the first to get to double digits, but once guns came out, it was back and forth. An eco-round victory for Astralis gave them momentum to push up to 15. ENCE seemed ready to take it to Overtime as they brought the scoreline to 15-14. Finally, on another weak buy, the Danes would sneak by a round to win the series and eliminate ENCE from the Brazy Party.
Astralis now move on to the playoffs, and await the final game of the day 9INE vs Sprout to conclude to determine their opponent in the Quarter Finals.
