GamerLegion live to fight another day
GamerLegion started strong on their map pick of Overpass, crossing the line 16-13 but OG somewhat recovered to win their map pick of Mirage 16-8. OG however, crumbled under pressure in the decider Ancient, 11-4, conceding the series 1-2 and exiting from the Blast Paris Major 2023.
Overpass looked like it could've gone both ways, with individuals from either sides stepping up in the first half, ending it at an even 7-8. degster who had a great CT-side went silent in the 2nd half, as acoR, iM and siuhy stood tall and took GamerLegion over the line.
Going into Mirage, it was degster once again who got OG off to a flying start in their first half but this time around he managed to carry on his form to the second half, as OG took Mirage with a comfortable 16-8. GamerLegion had no answers to OG's CT-side, managing to secure just 2 rounds in the 2nd half. degster finished Mirage with a HLTV rating of 1.62.
OG started off the decider, Ancient with a pistol round win and the immediate semi-buy on their CT-side but once the gun rounds began OG could do little to nothing, as iM and acoR kept brute-forcing their way through the CT defense time after time.
GamerLegion, after a strong 11-4 lead in the first half, went on to close out the decider 16-7 and thus, the Bo3. GamerLegion are now only a single Bo3 away from the legends stage as they mark the end of OG's Major journey.
iM finished Ancient with a HLTV rating of 1.69 and held a rating of 1.30 across all 3 maps. degster and flameZ were the only ones who showed life for OG, finishing the match with HLTV ratings of 1.33 and 1.15.
