FaZe make it to Legends
FaZe have finally made it to the Legends Stage of the Paris Major 2023 after taking down FORZE 2-0. FaZe had to see off a valiant comeback attempt from FORZE on Overpass before they comprehensively beat FORZE on Nuke to secure a spot in the Legends Stage.
The opening map was FORZE's pick of Overpass and it was FaZe on the defensive side who picked up the pistol. karrigan came in with a 1v2 on A site to give FaZe the 3-0 lead. rain's early shutdown of FORZE, gave FaZe an early 5-0 lead before FORZE put up their first T sided round. rain's dominant defensive hold saw the Norwegian end the first half with 22 kills and a 1v3 in the final round that saw FaZe take a 12-3 lead.
rain's triple kill on the second half pistol saw FaZe secure 13 as FORZE were all but down. Jerry, zorte and r3salt made sure FORZE didn't give up with a fight as they managed to hit double digits following nine straight rounds on the defensive half. FaZe eventually closed out the map at 16-12, shutting out any possibility of a comeback from FORZE.
FaZe started on the T side of their own map pick of Nuke and Twistzz's 1v2 gave FaZe the first pistol. FORZE took the first gun around as they put up a clean defence with five alive. Krad's impactful defensive holds made sure FORZE tied up the game early on at 4-4 before ropz's lurking found FaZe their fifth on the B site. A broky 1v2 eventually swung the tide in FaZe's favour as they ended the first half with 9-6 lead.
FORZE won the second half pistol and hung on against the force-buy but karrigan called another force-buy which saw FaZe completely shut down FORCE with a couple of MP9s. FORZE answered back with their own force buy as zorte came in with a 1v2 clutch to give FORZE their ninth. FaZe closed out the map at 16-11 with Twistzz topping Nuke with 25 kills.
