From being 0-2 in the Challengers to the semi-finals

GamerLegion's incredible run continues as they make semi-finals

Monte go down 0-2 in the quarter-final

GamerLegion's stellar comeback run keeps getting better and better as siuhy and his men are headed to a CS:GO Major semi-final after they beat Monte 2-0 in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 quarter-final. From being 0-2 down on the first day of the Challengers Stage to having made it to the final four of CS:GO's last Major, it has been an incredible comeback story and one which they will want to continue all the way to the trophy.

It was Monte's pick of Mirage up first with GamerLegion starting on the CT side. A triple kill from Woro2k gave Monte the pistol round. Monte converted against the eco from GamerLegion but once the guns were out, GamerLegion immediately got their first round. A Keoz 1v2 on the B site saw GamerLegion tie up the score at 2-2. acoR, Keoz and iM triple kills in back-to-back rounds saw GamerLegion take an early 6-2 lead. Monte were back on the board on the back of a BOROS triple but GamerLegion responded right back as acoR won a 1v1 against Woro2k but straight sticking the bomb in the open. A crucial multi-kill rounds from sdy and a BOROS triple saw Monte get the game to a one game round at 7-6. It was on the back of yet another BOROS triple that Monte ended the first half with a 8-7 lead.

siuhy kicked off the second half with a triple on the pistol to tie the score at 8-8. GamerLegion picked up the conversions to take a 10-8 lead before triple kills from sdy and DemQQ tied the score once again at 10-10. GamerLegion put together a couple rounds together and a isak triple saw siuhy and his men secure 14. acoR's 1v1 win against sdy saw GamerLegion pick up match point and it was a iM quad kill that saw GamerLegion pick up the map at 16-10. iM ended Mirage with an incredible 34 kills and a 1.89 rating.

Monte had no answer to iM's firepower on Mirage

The second map was GamerLegion's pick of Overpass with the Ukrainian team starting on the CT side. acoR kicked off GamerLegion's T side with a pistol victory. After converting against the force-buy, GamerLegion were caught out by Monte on nothing but pistols as the Ukrainians bounced back and went on to tie the score at 2-2 along with breaking GamerLegion's economy. iM clutched out a 1v2 on a buy of upgraded pistols saw GamerLegion retake the lead at 3-2. A Keoz quad kill on a B execute saw GamerLegion take an early 6-2 lead, with Monte's economy broken. A sdy quad kill gave Monte their third but GamerLegion bounced back with four of their own as their managed to secure 10 in the first half. siuhy's stellar calling and iM and isak's openers saw GamerLegion end the first half with a 12-3 lead.

An isak triple got the second pistol underway as GamerLegion secured their thirteenth and a team ace against the force buy from Monte saw GamerLegion get to two rounds from securing the map. siuhy and Keoz shut down a quick B rush from Monte to give GamerLegion the series point and a solid B hold saw GamerLegion take the map at 16-3 and secure their spot in the semi-finals. iM ended the series with 51 kills across the two maps and an incredible 1.78 rating.
