OnlyFriends win Nostra Gaming's CS:GO tournament

OnlyFriends took down KingPins in the Grand Finals of Nostra Gaming's open CS:GO tournament. It was a clean sweep in the finals as OnlyFriends won the finals 2-0 picking up Ancient and Mirage in a closely fought final.

The first map kicked off on KingPins' pick of Ancient with OnlyFriends starting on the CT side. After converting the pistol, KingPins took an early 5-0 lead before OnlyFriends got their first defensive round on the board courtesy a buy consisting of an AWP and couple of MP9s.

OnlyFriends converted that one into five on the trot to tied the game up at 5-5 before KingPins got their sixth round. OnlyFriends eventually managed to end the first half with a slender 8-7 lead and Ph1NNN's 1v2 on the A site saw OnlyFriends pick up the second pistol. A clean conversion against the eco saw OnlyFriends get to double digits first but it was KingPins who won the first gun round. Crazy_Gamer and clouda converted a 2v3 to see OnlyFriends get right back to winning ways. A 3v4 conversion from OnlyFriends led by f1redup saw them secure 13.

DiceDealer kept KingPins in the game with a crucial double kill on the B site as KingPins got up to 10 rounds. KingPins put three rounds on the trot to close the lead at 12-14. reV3nnnn and Ph1NNN once again turned around a man deficit at 2v3 to put OnlyFriends on map point and OnlyFriends eventually closed out the map at 16-12 with reV3nnnn ending the opening map with 30 kills while Crazy_Gamer had a strong map too with 24 kills.

The second map was on Mirage with KingPins starting on the CT half. KingPins won the opening pistol but f1redup's multi-kill on the upgraded pistols from OnlyFriends saw them tie up the score. Conversions against the following low buys saw OnlyFriends go 3-1 up before KingPins got back on the board. Crazy_Gamer's 1v1 on the B site saw OnlyFriends secure their fourth round. Three back-to-back rounds from the CTs saw the game tied up once again at 5-5.

KingPins turned around a 2v3 post plant on the A site to secure their seventh round and a triple from Bhavi saw KingPins win out the first half securing their eighth. A stellar double opener from clouda saw OnlyFriends secure their sixth round. BENZENE secured a 9-6 half for KingPins with Bhavi ending the first half with 15 kills. reV3nnnn and clouda gave OnlyFriends the second pistol but KingPins responded with their own force buy to hit double digits first. OnlyFriends secured their eighth with a force buy of their own and double multi-kill rounds from Ph1NNN saw them take the game to a one round game. Crazy_Gamer and clouda's double kills saw OnlyFriends tie up the score at 10-10. OnlyFriends made it four rounds in a row to take the lead of the game at 11-10 but KingPins tied up the score on the back of an ace from DiceDealer, who closed out the round with a 1v2.

ElVIS's triple put KingPins on 13 but reV3nnnn and clouda's hold on the B site helped OnlyFriends tie up the game at 13-13 and broke KingPins' economy. A clean conversion against the eco from KingPins saw OnlyFriends take the lead of the map at 14-13 and were two rounds away from securing the series. f1redup's stellar A hold put OnlyFriends on map, match, series and championship point. clouda and reV3nnnn's B hold saw KingPins secure the map at 16-13 and take the championship as well.
