FaZe hang on by the skin of their teeth
EG started off on the CT-side of Mirage, winning the pistol round and securing the follow-up conversion but FaZe caught up, stringing 3 of their own, off the back of Twistzz and ropz's aggression. With both teams displaying individual brilliance in multiple situations, the half ended at an even 8-7.
EG, who looked solid on defense, secured the T-side pistol round but fell apart later on, as the trio of rain, ropz and Twistzz tore through the defense, dropping just 3 rounds and securing match point at 15-10.
FaZe had it locked in with 5 match points, but EG gave FaZe a taste of their own medicine, as refrezh and autimatic stood tall, opening up bombsites round after round, fighting an uphill battle to tie the match 15-15 and force the match into overtime.
Going into overtime, FaZe turned things around with a flawless 3-0 in first half and EG nearly mirrored it with one of their own, but fell short at the very last step, as FaZe closed out the match in overtime, 19-17.
Players from both teams fragged out with Twistzz topping the server at 33 frags for FaZe with a HLTV rating of 1.55 followed by ropz and rain with 25 and 23 frags with HLTV ratings of 1.08 and 1.11. Brehze and autimatic top the table for EG with 25 and 23 frags. Twistzz's form will be a major factor for FaZe going further in the tournament.
