ENCE ease past Complexity at Dallas
ENCE had an underwhelming performance at the BLAST.tv Paris Major finishing 12th-14th after an elimination loss to Ninjas In Pyjamas. They come into Dallas looking to replicate their 2022 run to the finals or even do one better. With their first opponent being Complexity, who are missing hallzerk due to visa issues, the team was set to start off on the right foot.
The international squad started Nuke with a pistol round conversion that netted them 5 on the attack. floppy's triple gave coL their first as SAW immediately called a timeout for ENCE. The timeout did not give ENCE the reply they needed, as the NA squad managed to put together a last-second retake on the lower site. A few rounds went back and forth, setting the teams at 7-5 as ENCE bizarrely continued to miss basic smokes outside. With SunPayus' AWP popping off, the missed smokes hardly mattered as ENCE put together 10 rounds in the half.
dycha's dualies dominated from the top of the hut giving ENCE both pistol rounds. Complexity denied the conversion with a forcebuy victory, but the teams traded their way to a 6-round lead for the international squad as Snappi put up a triple to take 14. ENCE's Spanish AWP star SunPayus put up a triple of his own, securing match point, and his team quickly closed the map out 16-7 to take the opening match.
ENCE will now play FaZe in the upper round match tomorrow in an international clash.
