"Our holds were very strong" - DiceDealer
After a close win against Revenant Esports we got a chance to talk to 7SEA Esports' stellar entry fragger DiceDealer and here's what he had to say.
Good start on Nuke but you had to play against 4 match points and then closed out the map without dropping a single round from that point, what did you do differently?
"Our T-side was good but our CT started to crumble, Bhavesh (Bhavi) had great calls on the T-side and we managed to take a lot of rounds. We should've won easily on CT but they played really well and the only thing that could've saved us was individual performances- I stepped up and BENZENE stepped up and we closed it out. Individual performances was the only reason we won Nuke."
Inferno was a different story, you had a match point with 7-round buffer but all of a sudden Revenant came alive, came back from 8-15 and closed it in overtime, what happened?
"We played both sides amazingly well, our CT-sides aren't usually this good on Inferno. After 15-7 they played incredibly well, I give them credits for that, they denied space across the map, we gave into the pressure and started rushing, it was a bad call, we all agreed to it and lost as a team. It was our map, we threw it."
They started a comeback again in Anubis, how did you deny it this time?
"I don't think they had prepared for Anubis that much and as a decider it must've come as a surprise to them because on the T-side we did not feel any pressure and the rounds we lost was because of our mistakes. We've seen 14-1 comebacks in Anubis in the Tier 1 scene and it is definitely a very T-sided map but they couldn't penetrate the sites, our holds were very strong, honestly they didn't play good on Anubis."
