TEC Arena Connect, Kochi: Online Qualifiers Day 1 Recap

The TEC Arena Connect, Kochi's Online Qualifiers got underway with the Round of 32.

The tournament will see the Online Qualifiers held on July 20 - July 23, 2023 before the LAN event on August 13, 2023. The LAN event will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Kochi.

SlowAimers started on the T side and picked up the pistol and were 2-0 up before Rage.GG got their first CT round. A ks7J 1v2 on the B site gave SlowAimers their third. Both teams kept trading rounds but it was Slow Aimers who ended the opening half with a 8-7 lead.

Rage.GG picked up the second pistol to tie the game and converted against the force and eco to go 10-8 up. Hyper Beast's AWP clutch on the B site saw Rage.GG secure their 11th. A ks7J double gave SlowAimers their first CT round. After a lengthy technical pause, SlowAimers got the momentum to bring the score to 12-13. A RaMb0 double gave Rage.GG their 14th even though they were struggling with connectivity issues, as they played a couple of rounds with 4 players. Rage.GG secured match point thanks to RaMb0 ace but Slow Aimers pulled back three rounds in a row to take the game to overtime.

It was a flawless defence from SlowAimers in the first half of overtime and they closed out the map at 19-17. It was minalob<3 on top of the scoreboard for SlowAimers with 33 kills.

KaitKait Gaming (KKG) go things underway on the offensive half and took the opening pistol and were up 3-0 before Fidato 5 (FD5) won their first round. It was four in a row from FD5 to take a 4-3 lead. A back-and-forth half saw KKG end the half with a 8-7 lead.

KKG picked up the second pistol and were 10-7 up after converting against the eco. masti nai's 1v1 on the B site gave FD5 their first T round. FD5 put up two in a row but KKG responded with four in a row as they went 14-9 up. A Yanmeister triple put KKG on match point and KKG picked up the game at 16-9. Youngmonz and Yanmeister were the heavy-hitters for KKG as they ended with 23 and 22 kill respectively.

Adrenaline picked up the opening pistol, starting on the pistol and it was elevennnn who kicked things off with a quad kill in the pistol and an ace against the eco to give Adrenaline a 2-0 lead but Virtual Assassins (VA) responded in the first gun as proto game in with an ace of his own. VA converted three in a row to take the lead of the game at 5-3. Three in a row from Adrenaline saw them take at 6-5 lead. Adrenaline ended the opening half with a 8-7 lead.

Adrenaline picked up the second pistol and secured their 10th in the following round. Iron's 1v1 saw Adrenaline make it five in a row. A DarK PhoenIX triple on the B site saw Adrenaline put up 14 and they closed the map at 16-8.

elevennnn was the chief wrecker for Adrenaline as he ended the map with 25 kills.

There was one match which took place off stream where Retaliation hammered WAVES 16-0.
