BIG take down OG in a close series
The match started off on Mirage with BIG picking up the pistol round and converting it into a 5 round win streak. mantuu’s AWP was hitting every shot as he shut down OG in back-to-back rounds to go up 7-1. It was round 12 when OG finally got a clean round to put two back to back, allowing them to bring back the half almost level at 7-8, despite s1n and mantuu combining for 35 kills in the half.
k1to and F1KU’s double taps gave OG the pistol round and rounds were traded back and forth before OG finally pulled out ahead, closing the map out 16-11.
Moving to Overpass, the German side once again started with a pistol win, but a nexa clutch immediately halted BIG in their tracks. mantuu hit a few great shots, but it was OG who were up 5-2 early. nexa, FASHR and regali were all on fire on the CT side, carrying their team to a 10-5 half.
USP frags gave BIG the second pistol, and Krimbo, going nuclear, carried them to a tied game. The two squads went back and forth again, but this time it was s1n’s crew that got to match point. With Krimbo picking up 4 on the M4, BIG pushed the series to Ancient with a 16-13 win.
The final battle started with a knife round win for mantuu’s Karambit, giving BIG the CT pick. Regardless, OG was the pistol round winner taking 3 in a row. Pistols were out for BIG but prosus’ magic five-seven showed its magic to steal away a round. That was the start BIG needed as they went on a nearly flawless run of rounds to win the half 10-5.
The second half was anything but flawless for either side. BIG picked up the pistol but it was back and forth between the two as neither was willing to give the series up. BIG reached map point at 15-8, but OG kept them in check three rounds in a row as not a single full gun round for both teams had come out simultaneously. Finally, the two reached economic parity and it was BIG who emerged victorious, closing the series out 2-1 to set up a match against Vitality.
