CS2 receives new maps
The Counter-Strike community have been treated to some exciting updates as Valve adds Anubis and Ancient to the limited test rotation, replacing Overpass and Vertigo. The fifth map rotation has left players in awe, with both Anubis and Ancient receiving significant visual buffs.
Despite the layout remaining unchanged, Valve has managed to breathe new life into the maps with impressive visual enhancements. The attention to detail is evident as the maps now boast enhanced textures and stunning visual effects. From lush vegetation to intricately designed architecture, the maps are a treat to the eyes.
One of the most notable updates in this limited test is Valve's focus on water quality and volumetrics. Different types of water have been added, each showcasing unique characteristics that enhance the immersion. Whether it's a serene pond or a cascading waterfall, the water in Counter-Strike 2 now looks remarkable.
In addition to the map updates, Valve has not overlooked other aspects of the game. They have fine-tuned player model animations, resulting in smoother and more precise movements. Additionally, water interaction sounds have been modified and wingman mode has been removed from the limited test.
