Revenant exact revenge from Reckoning in 2-0 thriller

Revenant were the first opponents that the M3wsu-powered Reckoning faced off against, coming out on top in a 2-0. Now with the rematch on the schedule this was an exciting match to watch.

Starting off on Ancient, 1nhuman's double gave Reckoning the pistol. But the forcebuy went Revenant's way giving them control of the map early. Once guns came out, Reckoning were back with the CT side going all the way to 7-3. A massive triple from f1redup gave Revenant a path back into the half allowing them to close the gap back down to a 7-8 at halftime.

The second half started almost identically as Reckoning took the pistol while Revenant took the forcebuy, but this time the T side wrangled back control to get ahead 12-8. Still with 3nable and f1redup fragging out, Revenant brought the scoreline back to level pegging. Back-to-back Temper entries on A allowed Reckoning to pull closer to map-point but f1redup's AWP took round after round to put up 15 first. Going into overtime both teams had been neck and neck but at 16-15 the game got halted by a pause and Revenant came out swinging, taking the map 19-16.

Inferno started with 5 in a row for Revenant as they shut out Reckoning in pistols and gun rounds. The streak was finally broken when Temper's secondary AWP hit true in the 1v2 to barely squeeze out a defuse in time. That round was the catalyst they needed to get back into the half as Revenant's lead was whittled down to just a 9-6.

The pistol round kept Revenant in the lead but the gun rounds from GhosT's crew were massive as they went 5 rounds in a row to tie the game. f1redup was hard carrying his squad so far and as he approached 30, gump and SKwow stepped up to make their CT side roar. The map was once again down to the wire, but Temper's 1v3 attempt to secure 16 was denied to push the map into Overtime once again. OT too was back and forth slowly melting into a second bout of Overtime where Revenant finally put up a flawless T half to close the map out 22-19, taking the series in two and exacting revenge on Reckoning.
