FIREDUP take down Retaliation in two maps

The Grand Finals of the TEC Arena Connect Kochi on LAN got underway as FIREDUP took on Retaliation. After the performance from FIREDUP in the semi-finals, this was ready to be an exciting match and it started off with a clean retake for Retaliation on B to set up the start of Inferno. ReApErMonsta who was crucial in taking down aQuA was getting his aggression punished early on in the game, but his team managed to take away the first gun round with a half buy, pushing RTN to pistols. CraZe and co. were ready to take another round, but N1kace used his utility perfectly to win out in the 1v2 clutch.

With the economy thoroughly in their control, l0ngbarrel brought his AWP out and much like Ancient in the Semis, he was on fire instantly, taking down two and splitting the map wide open in round 8. n1kace doesn't seem to mind being flashed as he found yet another double while completely blind. Yet another LB double as FIREDUP went up 8-2. Finally Bee_ held strong on the A site to lock the T side out, but it was just one flash of brilliance while Retaliation needed consistent performances. FUG continued on, quickly closing the half out 11-4.

Starting the second half, ReApErMonsta got a quick 3k on the defence, but DiscountKiller took the 1v1 victory to take the pistol win. Once again in the gun round though, FIREDUP took the win as l0ngbarrel once more got a massive multi-kill to turn the tides and bring his team to 13. Pure Confidence flowing through their veins, FUG were taking insane duels and coming out top, but their luck took a dip in round 21 as RaaVaNaa took a 1v3 clutch to give his team a 7th. Firedup had to take eco rounds late in the game allowing RTN to get closer but with just pistols, FUG take the map 1-0.

Moving over to Mirage, Retaliation were finally able to take a gun round win even if it was on the knife's edge. 4-0 up RTN conceded the second gun round to Firedup. Individuals were getting warmed back up as FUG started taking clean round wins, building their economy on the CT side. A crucial gun round was getting started but ReApErMonsta faced a tech issue, pausing the map.

Tech Pause hits ReApErMonsta

The tech pause took away FIREDUP's momentum allowing Retaliation to take their 5th round. RobbeN kept his head in the game as his multi-kill put his team back in control. ReAperMonsta and RobbeN combined to finally take the lead in the half 6-5. Final round of the half saw both sides trading kill after kill, but ChAmPcs closed it out to give his team a 9-6 lead. The second half was similar to the first as RTN took the pistol but FUG won the gun rounds to take a massive lead 13-8. A fumble from Firedup in round 21 allowed RaVaNaa to put up another multi-frag and take another round. That looked to be enough to bring RTN back, but n1kace sneaked through mid to find a double in B and give his team the 14th. Just two rounds away from the trophy.
