The_Guru 'There is more potential in the squad'

Velocity Gaming suffer yet another loss

It has been a season to forget for Velocity Gaming but The_Guru isn't a pessimist. Velocity's AWPer believes in his team and is looking forward to the future for more events where the team can show their true potential.

You guys have been out of the playoffs race for a while, what has been keeping the team motivated for these game?

Obviously we have nothing to lose, so we are just looking to have fun. We have had some severe communication issues which have hampered our progress but we're still very positive and we will practice more and comeback stronger.

Let's talk about the season, it's been a bit inconsistent both on and off the server, the team has changed multiple times, how did you guys deal with that?

We started off with our local players and we have a great chemistry amongst ourselves. KevinR and syaah were both added to empower our team but with them joining the team also came different ideologies which clashed and this project from then on was doomed. We kept chopping and changing before I took a call and said we should bench Kevin and TAV and stick with the current line-up, which you see. Just bringing in foreign players doesn't work like that especially cause we were comfortable with our local line-up. But it's not the end, we are looking forward to the next event, we know what we are cable of, we can do damage and obviously online events aren't the most ideal but its not been all bad. If you look, we took down table toppers Marcos, who were running through everyone, there definitely is more potential in the squad and in offline events it can been seen.

Any other issues faced by the team?

Well it isn't an excuse it shouldn't be, but we have had several other challenges, geographically where we are located (Kolkata) the ping isn't very stable here. And also if we had better systems, I'm sure we could do more - give us 5 ping and better systems and we'll show our true potential. But like I said, we are looking at things positively, I believe in my team, they're like my brothers, we are here to stay and we are looking forward for the upcoming events.
