Vitality stomp ORKS in EPL Opener
BLAST.tv Major and Gamers8 champions Vitality took on the newly formed polish-international squad of ORKS in the opener of EPL Group A. ORKS managed to qualify for the event with a runners-up finish at the Conference stage, but with the immense skill disparity, a blowout was the expected outcome.
And that blowout started off on Mirage where Vitality blew ORKS out of the water in the first half. Their defence was indominable and they managed to take a 15-0 flawless half. A 16-0 wouldn't have been too surprising, but ORKS showed signs of life in the second half with a pistol win that allowed them to build a 7 round score before Vitality inevitably closed it out.
Nuke started off much closer with ORKS taking the first pistol and mantaining their lead all the way to 5-4 before Spinx brought his team in control of the map, Vitality closed the half out 9-6.
The second half was more like Mirage as Vitality shifted into the 5th gear and dominated the half on the CT side. A flawless streak of 7 closed out by a ZywOo 1v1 to give Vitality the series win 2:0.
