MIBR shock MOUZ in EPL Opener
The drop-safe powered MIBR came into EPL with low expectations but high potential. In the very first match, they prove that potential by taking down Siuhy’s MOUZ.
MIBR started Vertigo off with a pistol-round win that set them up for 4 in a row early. MOUZ’s defense stepped up in the gun rounds to tie the score up at 4-4, but drop clutched it out to maintain the lead. Economic woes for MOUZ kept them out of the subsequent rounds, as MIBR secured a half-win at 8-4. The strong performance for the Brazilians continued as insani and drop carried their team to a 10-5 win. MIBR quickly hit 14 in the second half, before MOUZ showed some signs of life on the T side, pushing up to 9, but MIBR closed it out 16-9 to go up 1-0.
Inferno started off with MOUZ’s first pistol win, which led to a quick 3-0 lead before the Brazilian squad took the first gun round. MOUZ’s T side performed much better here than on Vertigo, securing 7 early in the half, but the international team slowed down and MIBR managed to sneak in a few rounds at the end to make it a close half at 7-8. MOUZ however were unperturbed by this apparent threat as they stormed through the second half to take the map 16-7 pushing us to Mirage.
Mirage started off with a back-and-forth between the two squads, with neither team able to establish their dominance. siuhy and co. managed to take a marginal lead at 9-6 but exit’s troops found their footing on the T side. The Brazilian side upset MOUZ and took the map 16-14, taking home their first win at ESL Pro League, a positive sign for the new look MIBR.
