ROG Academy goes down to KingPins

The second quarterfinal of the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 saw ROG Academy take on KingPins. The action got underway on Ancient with KingPins starting on the T side.

BENZENE's quad with the Glock saw KingPins take the opening pistol and went 4-0 up before a SeeK triple on the AWP saw ROG get their first CT round. ROG answered back with four in a row to tie the score at 4-4. Bhavi and iwnl opened up the B site on a mixed buy which saw KingPins secure their fifth. It was a back and forth half and a hattygOD 1v1 against KiilSwiTcH saw KingPins take their seventh and it was a 9-6 lead for the T side.

KingPins picked up the second pistol to secure double digits and an ELV1S and BENZENE shut-down in mid saw them keep it clean against the eco. A BENZENE triple with the FAMAS on the A site saw KingPins take a six round lead and after picking up the first gun round in the second half, KingPins were two rounds away from map point. KingPinz kept their CT side flawless as they picked up the match at 16-6 with former 7Sea Esports duo of ELV1S and BENZENE on top of the scoreboard with 26 and 21 kills respectively.
