L.O.T Gaming breeze past Random 5

Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 quarterfinals get underway

After fighting through the 16-team Open Qualifier of the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2, the 8 teams kicked off the best-of-one quarterfinals hoping to win the INR 50,000 prize pool. First up was L.O.T Gaming (LOT) taking on Random5 (R5).

The first quarterfinal got underway on Vertigo with LOT starting on the CT side. A Nasty triple saw R5 take the opening pistol and converted against the eco before LOT got on the board in round three as soon as they got the guns out and it was a clean shutdown from the CTs. tsukizy's triple mid shut down saw LOT tie up the game and SH4DY and m1's B hold against the pistols saw LOT take the lead at 3-2. LOT was all over the map as they denied R5 any space on either site and a m1 double saw LOT win out the half at 8-3. WD stole a ninja defuse in the smoke in a 1v1 to help LOT secure their 11th and it was a 12-3 lead at the end of the first half.

DestroyeR and Nasty's double in the pistol saw R5 take the second pistol and converted against the eco and force buy before WD's 1v1 against DestroyeR saw LOT get their first T round. SH4DY denied DestroyeR a smoke ninja to see LOT secure their 14th and it was his double ramp opener that put LOT on match point. LOT turned around a 3v4 with tsukizy blasting open the A site to see LOT Gaming secure the map at 16-9.
