VP secure EPL Playoffs spot
Virtus.pro (VP) were looking for revenge in their rematch against Liquid as both teams were looking for a Playoffs spot.
Virtus.pro's pick of Inferno was the series opener with Liquid picking up the opening pistol on the T side. It was a 3-0 start before Jame and mir at A shut down Liquid to give VP their first round. oSee's 1v1 against fame saw Liquid secure their fifth and Liquid went 9-3 up before n0rb3r7 woke up to come in with a couple of crucial multi-kill rounds to see VP end the half with six rounds.
VP picked up a comfortable second pistol with an A execute and it was VP tying up the score at 9-9 in no time. Rainwaker's opener saw Liquid take the first gun round. After exchanging blows back-and-forth, a win with only USPs and Patsi quad kill B hold saw Liquid secure their 14th. Liquid eventually closed the map at 16-12.
Liquid picked up the opening pistol on their pick of Ancient, starting on the T side as they walked into an unguarded A site. VP replied with a force buy as fame's 1v1 against oSee saw them get their first CT round on the board. It was a close half as both sides kept trading rounds but a YEKINDAR triple opener on the B site, part of a quad kill saw Liquid secure their seventh and break VP's economy which helped them win the half at 8-7.
Jame and FL1T's doubles on the B site saw VP take the second pistol on Ancient to tie the game at 8-8. After going 9-8 up Liquid took the first gun round and were 10-9 up before VP with three saved guns got their double digits thanks to a A hit on the back on Jame's impactful double. VP strung together five in a row to pick up map point first at 15-14 and it was VP who managed to comeback from 10-14 to take the map at 16-14
Vertigo was the series decider with Liquid starting with a 3-0 lead on the CT side. Both teams traded rounds for the next few rounds before VP ran away with the half at 9-6. FL1T's 1v1 against NAF gave VP the second pistol and it was a flawless CT side from VP to close out the map at 16-6 and take the series 2-1.
