DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 CS2 Qualifiers Day 6 Recap
The 6th Day of DreamHack Hyderabad Qualifiers saw the Top 8 teams compete in the Quarter-Finals. Just two more matches remain for Day 7 before the LAN qualified teams are locked in.
ROG Academy vs Team Respect (8-13)
First game of the day put us on Ancient as ROG Academy went up against Team Respect. With Busterrr and BuLL3T popping off, and KillSwiTcH having a particularly slow game, Respect were lighting the scoreboard up. Despite SeeK and BrOCK's best efforts ROG Academy fell short of the mark, allowing Team Respect to move on to the Semi-Finals with a 13-8 win.
Old School Esports vs Wasted Potential (13-10)
Old School in a new game? The players didnt show any rust as they finally put a stop to Wasted Potential's roll through the Qualifier. Across the board Old School were just firing at a higher level than Wasted Potential with even -FuRY outfragging three of WP's players. They truly brought the heat to Mirage, making the collective effort to take the win on Mirage 13-10.
Fight 4 Fame vs 2ez Gaming (13-10)
The penultimate match of the day was also the closest one as once again we headed to Mirage. 2ez showed their teamplay, while Fight 4 Fame just showed up in better form. While bb1 was on fire, p7 and ShinChAn both struggled to break through to double digits. A valiant effort from the 2ez side regardless as they pushed F4F to the limits before F4F took the win at 13-10.
Fire5 Esports vs Firedup Gaming (4-13)
Firedup took a quick victory to close out the day, battering Fire5 Esports. Not a single player crossed double digits for the Fire5 side, as Firedup completely decimated them in a 13-4 dust off.
The Final matches of the online qualifier will be played tomorrow to decide who makes it to the LAN event in Hyderabad.
