CS2 finds it's way to Mac, here's how

A workaround seems to have surfaced

With the full release of CS2, Valve dropped macOS support, meaning which the title would not run on Macs. It still doesn't, officially. However a workaround seems to have surfaced.

CS2 is now playable on Mac through a program called CrossOver, developed by CodeWeaver. CrossOver is a Windows compatibility layer that enables many Windows-based applications to run on Linux operating systems, macOS, or ChromeOS.

CrossOver can be subscribed to yearly or one can get unlimited access through a one-time payment. macOS Ventura and Sonoma powered by an Apple Silicon or an Intel processor is necessary to run CS2 on Mac with the latest version of CrossOver.

While it sounds similar to an emulator, CrossOver is a compatibility layer and it avoids both- the complexity and the speed penalty of full hardware emulation.
