FaZe hangs on against ENCE
Aiming to join MOUZ in the Grand Final of CS Asia Championships 2023 were FaZe and ENCE. Battling it out in the second semi-final, it was FaZe who went in as favourites, give their current form and also the fact that ENCE were playing with a stand-in.
FaZe's pick of Nuke was the series opener as ENCE got the CT side underway with a 3-0 start. ENCE went on to secure a 9-3 lead at the end of the first half and while FaZe secured the second pistol, ENCE answered back with the force buy and while FaZe tried to comeback, it was ENCE who picked up Nuke at 13-8.
FaZe started ENCE's pick of Ancient with the pistol win but it was the force buy rebuttal from ENCE on again and it was close half which saw ENCE walk away with a 7-5 lead. FaZe secured both pistols on Ancient but it was once again ENCE answering with the force buy. FaZe though, somehow managed to hang on in overtime to secure the map at 16-14 with ropz once again being the difference for FaZe.
SunPayus started the series decider on Ancient with a 1v3, part of an ace from the Spaniard that saw ENCE take the opening pistol on the T side. ENCE started with an 8-4 lead as they were looking to wrap it up quickly on the series decider. It was a back and forth second half but FaZe hung on by the skin of their teeth to secure the map at 13-11 to reverse-sweep the series 2-1.
FaZe now will take on MOUZ in the Grand Final of CS Asia Championships 2023.
