Grayhound run through DXA
The ESL Australia and NZ Championship Season 17 playoffs got underway with Grayhound taking on DXA in the upper bracket semi-final.
The opening map of the series was DXA's pick of Vertigo with Grayhound starting 11-0 on the CT side as Grayhound were just disrespecting DXA, retaking multiple times in man disadvantage situations. It took a lucas222 triple kill in the final round of the half that saw DXA get their first round on the board as they ended the opening half at 1-11.
Grayhound wrapped up it quick at 13-1 after taking the second pistol and converting on it.
Nuke was Grayhound's pick aliStair and co. started with another pistol win. DXA though, weren't going down without putting up a fight as their captain Roflko led from the front with a strong T side that saw them keep the round deficit to only two at 5-7.
While the first half was a close half, the second half was anything but as Grayhound put up a flawless defensive half that saw them pick up their pick of Nuke at 13-5 and secure the series 2-0.
Grayhound have now secured a place in the upper bracket final now and await the winner of the Rooster and VERTEX game. DXA drop to the lower bracket semi-final and will take on Vantage.
