Gods Reign take first loss in ESEA Open S47
Gods Reign had a blistering start to ESEA Open Season 47 with 5 wins a row. And their most recent matches have continued their stronghold at the upper end of the leaderboard as they went 1-1 in the two matches. A tough loss to EZPZ was immediately balanced out with a win over Guardian 5 to mantain a solid 6-1 record.
The match against EZPZ took the teams to Inferno and right off the bat Gods Reign were on the back foot. EZPZ had naofuGOD popping off with Chinits right in tow helping their team take a commanding 9-3 lead in the first half. And the Indian squad could muster up no competition in the second half either, with CycloneF sitting at the bottom of the scoreboard, as both stars for EZPZ out-fragged the entire GR roster to lock in a 13-4 victory.
Following that disappointing performance up, Gods Reign went up against Guardian 5. This time it was the time for the boys in blue to dominate as Crazy_Gamer dominated the server putting up 21 frags. The first half went by in a blur with GR taking 10 rounds. Guardian 5 showed some strength in the second half slowly building up to an 8 round total, but with the massive first half lead, GR closed the map out 13-8 to take their 6th victory.
With these wins Gods Reign find themselves tied second place in the Asian standings, behind Eruption. They will now be facing Mirai Gaming on 15th November.
