Gods Reign coach PokemoN steps into the server at EFLARE Invitational
EFLARE Invitational's main event has kicked off with the Upper Bracket opening matches taking place today with a massive USD $100,000 on the line for the SEA teams. With teams from India, China, Mongolia and Russia not being allowed to play, Gods Reign's coach Saad 'PokemoN' Ahmad has taken to the server with his team Darkside.
The Pakistani coach received much praise from Gods Reign's players for their success in domestic matches, being an important factor in their tactical prowess. Not only is he one of the most successful coaches in the region, PokemoN is also one of the greatest Pakistani Counter-Strike player. Playing through CS1.6 and CS:GO he brings a ton of experience to the server.
With all that experience, and Gods Reign being unable to compete in the EFLARE Invitational, PokemoN has stepped into the server with Darkside to compete for the massive $100,000 prize pool. The team has already picked up their first win in the main event with a BO1 match over YoungDanger.
The match was a quick dust-off for the side of Darkside as they dominated YoungDanger on Ancient. A massive 9-3 half on the defence was followed up with 4 quick attacking rounds to close out the game with PokemoN taking 11 frags in the match. They now move to the Upper Bracket Quarter-Finals where the team will face OS Esports.
The event continues at 12:30 pm IST tomorrow, and you can check out the complete match schedule here.
