Skyesports unveils details for 2024 events

Skyesports has revealed the format and further details about their Counter-Strike 2024 roadmap, unveiling the formats of the six events planned for the upcoming year. The three Indian and three international events will see teams from all over the world battle it out.

Mentioned below are the format of the events and the dates mentioned are the LAN dates only. Further details are awaited from Skyesports.

Skyesports Grand Slam || March 14 - March 16, 2024 || Prize pool $50,000 || Location - India

The first event of the year will be the Skyesports Grand Slam with a prize pool of $50k, held in March 2024.

The format of the event will be:

• India Open Qualifiers (Open to all Single elimination || Top 3 teams qualify for India Closed Qualifiers)

• India Closed Qualifiers (3 teams from India Open Qualifiers + 5 Partner Indian teams || Single elimination || Winner qualifies to main event)

• Australia Qualifiers (Open to all Single elimination || Top team qualifies for Main event)

MAIN EVENT (LAN)

• 2 Invited International Teams + 1 Indian Qualified team + 1 AU Qualified teams

• Double Elimination || Total of 6 Games

Skyesports Masters 2024 || May 13 - May 19, 2024 || Prize pool $350,000 || Location - India

May 2024 will see the return of the Skyesports Masters, with an even bigger prize pool with more international teams in the mix.

The format is:

STAGE 1 Online

• Indian League Stage ( 8 franchised teams - Single Round robin format || Top 4 qualify for Indian Group Stage || Total of 28 games)

• Europe Open Qualifiers ( Open to all Single elimination || Top 2 qualify to Europe Closed Qualifiers)

• Europe Closed Qualifiers ( 14 Invited + 2 EU Open Qualified teams || Single elimination || Top 2 Qualify for EU Group Stage)

STAGE 2 LAN

• Indian Group Stage (4 Indian qualified teams || Single Elimination || Top teams moves to Main event)

• EU Group Stage ( Top 2 teams from EU Closed Qualifier || 2 Direct Invited International teams || 4 teams - Round Robin || Top 3 teams qualify for Main Event)

STAGE 3 - LAN

• Main Event (4 Qualified teams - 3 EU and 1 IND team || Double Elimination format - total 6 games)

Skyesports Championship 6.0 || July 4 - July 7, 2024 || Prize pool $150,000 || Location - India

Skyesports Championship returns for its sixth edition in July 2024 with European and Australian teams ready to battle it out with the Indian top dogs.

• Indian Open Qualifiers (Open to all single elimination format || Top 2 move to India Closed Qualifiers)

• India Closed Qualifiers (2 teams from India Open Qualifier + 8 Partner Indian teams || 2 Groups - Round Robin || Top 2 from 2 groups qualify for India Playoffs)

• Indian Playoffs (4 teams - Single elimination || Winner qualifies to Main Event)

EUROPE

• European Open Qualifiers ( Open to all single elimination || Top 2 qualify to EU Closed Qualifiers)

• European Closed Qualifier ( 2 teams from EU Open Qualifier and 6 Invited teams || Winner qualifies to Main Event)

AUSTRALIA

• Australian Qualifiers (Open to all single elimination format || Winner qualifies to main event)

STAGE 2 - LAN

• Main Event ( Winner of Skyesports Masters 2024 direct invite to Main Event || 1 Team from IND Qualifier, 1 Team from EU Qualifier, 1 Team from AU Qualifier || 4 teams - Double elimination format)

Skyesports Souvenir || September 13 - September 15, 2024 || Prize pool $150,000 || Location - Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Skyesports Souvenir takes Skyesports' calendar international with the event being scheduled to be held in Colombo with teams from all over the world including Europe and North America set to battle it out for the $150k prize pool.

Skyesports Global Tour || October 25 - October 27, 2024 || Prize pool $200,000 || Location - Thailand

Skyesports' latest IP, the Global Tour takes place in October 2024 in Thailand with teams from Asia and Australia battling it out in Bangkok.

Skyesports India vs Pakistan Series || December 20 - December 22, 2024 || Prize pool $50,000 || Location - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Skyesports closes out the year with the greatest sporting rivalry, the India vs Pakistan series. Set to take place in the UAE, the series will see the best teams from the two countries fight it out.
