Bhavi and co. lose first game in ECL

Gods Reign kicked of their ESL Challenger League Season 47 Asia campaign against Russian team komsomolsk in a BO1 matchup on Ancient.

With Gods Reign revealing their new roster hours before the game, we saw Bhavi and R2B2 make their Gods Reign debut with reV3nnnn missing out.

komsomolsk started with the opening pistol on their CT side but Gods Reign replied with the force. The force buys continued till round 5 as both teams traded back-and-forth. The Russian team finally got their CT side going to take a 5-2 lead before a R2B2 multi kill on the B site in a post plant saw Gods Reign bring back the half. Koreec with a triple kill on the XM saw komsomolsk regain control of the half as they ended the half with a 8-4 lead.

komsomolsk made sure they picked up both pistols on Ancient to increase their lead at the start of the second half. komsomolsk started with a 11-5 lead before crucial multi-kill rounds from R2B2 and Bhavi brought it to a three-round game at 8-11. The Russian squad though hung on for a 13-8 win to pick up the first BO1 of the day.

While the new-look Gods Reign might have gone down in the opening BO1, the format sees two BO2s lined up for the day and the Indian team will be back in the server against the Russians shortly.
