Gods Reign stomp GRDX to kickoff Grand Slam
The Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 got off to a cracking start for Gods Reign as they convincingly defeated GRDX. On Day 1, they started strong with two comfortable map wins. They kicked things off with a solid 13-6 victory on Vertigo, their map pick, followed by another solid win with a 13-1 scoreline on Anubis.
In the first match on Vertigo, R2B2 was on fire during the T-side, racking up an impressive 2.30 rating and 17 kills, helping Gods Reign to a commanding 10-2 lead. Although they stumbled a bit in the second half, losing a few rounds despite winning the pistol, Gods Reign managed to close out the map with a 13-6 win.
The second map was Anubis, which once again saw the T-side of Anubis get unchained. On the back of hyper-aggressive maneuvers, Gods Reign secured 11 rounds on the T-side. R2B2 remained the turret with his 124 ADR, as Gods Reign secured the series convincingly.
