KENSI: "We just weren't focused initially"
In the upper-bracket semi-finals, Gods Reign faced Aurora where the Indian team were sent crashing into the lower bracket after a massive 2-0 win, including a clean 13-0 on their map pick of Mirage. Aurora's top performer, KENSI spoke to Dust2 India after the match about their win and what they're looking forward to in the grand-finals.
KENSI gave insight into their early rounds on Ancient, sharing that the team wasn't focused initially, like their opening game against Bad News Kangaroos but once they adjusted there was no looking back.
We just weren't focused initially, just like yesterday but after those five rounds we took everything under our control and closed out the map. It (Zeus and knife attempts) wasn't necessarily disrespect, they were just having fun knowing that we were slightly stronger than them.
Speaking about BELCHONOKK's recent addition to the roster, KENSI pointed out how the team's performance improved with his arrival and how the new IGL breathed new life into the team, making the environment more positive and fun for everyone.
When BELCHONOKK joined us, the team got new life. We're just trying to have more fun alongside training a lot. We're trying to play our best with BELCHONOKK trying to learn new positions in which he has not played. With time he'll be even better.
KENSI also spoke about Aurora's first encounters with Bad News Kangaroos and Gods Reign on LAN and went on to mention that there was big difference in mentalities across the regions.
Playing against teams from Asia and Australia, I think they have a whole another game and they need better mentality and understanding of the game.
When asked about who Aurora would rather have as opponents in the grand finals between the two contestants - Gods Reign and Bad News Kangaroos, KENSI just put out a cold and confident "It doesn't matter".
