Liquid back out of Skyesports Masters 2024

With tons of uncertainty around the event following Skyesports' recent switch to online from LAN for their $350,000 tournament - the Skyesports Masters 2024, Team Liquid, who were one of the biggest names headlining the event have backed out of the event.

Liquid announced that they will be withdrawing themselves from the event because of their schedule.

The event is already taking place (April 8 - April 14, 2024) during the same time as IEM Chengdu 2024 and while Liquid is not heading to China for that event, reports suggest that cadiaN and co. have the Esports World Cup North American qualifiers starting April 16 - April 17 (Open Qualifiers) and April 18 - 19, 2024 (Closed Qualifier)

Just a couple of days ago Skyesports had revealed that the 8 team LAN which was planned to take place in Mumbai is being shifted completely online because of the organiser unable to finalise a venue to the event due to the 'Indian elections'. The tournament has been moved online and while the 7 teams from EU will play from their bootcamps, Skyesports announced that the Indian representative will be flown to Serbia from where they would bootcamp and take part in the online event.
