Official: Skyesports Masters 2024 LAN moved online
Skyesports have announced that they will “cancel the LAN component of the Skyesports Masters 2024 Main Event” just a day after Dust2 India’s breaking report on the same manner.
Skyesports released a statement on X which said that with the Indian general elections set to be held starting from April, the decision was taken as they would have difficulty in hosting ‘large scale on ground events’. Skyesports also revealed that Mumbai was the chosen destination for the LAN to be held. The dates of the event though will remain the same (April 8-14, 2024) with the event being hosted online. It is to be noted that when Skyesports had initially released the their CS2 roadmap for 2024 the Masters was scheduled for May 2024 but brought forward to April 2024 when more details were released earlier this month. Skyesports has also deviated from their initial formats released for the events as well.
Skyesports also said that the winner of the Indian Qualifier would be flown out to Serbia where they would compete with the remaining 7 teams. The $350,000 tournament is set to include the likes of Liquid, BIG, NIP and ENCE amongst others.
