TheMongolz survive Rare Atom scare
After conceding the pistol round on the T-side of Ancient, Rare Atom stole the anti-eco shambling TheMongolz economy. A 2.26 HLTV rating T-side from somebody saw Rare Atom gaining a solid 8-4 lead in the first half.
TheMongolz came right out to close the gap at 7-8 but once the gun rounds began, Rare Atom bounced back and countered TheMongolz's T-side, snatching a 13-8 win with a 4-rounds streak towards the end.
The second map took us to Mirage where Rare Atom started on the CT-side, starting with a 5-0 lead. TheMongolz clawed back a couple of rounds and fought their way to a 5-7 half still in favor of Rare Atom however. 910 came in clutch with the AWP, dropping a 110+ ADR T-side.
TheMongolz dominated on the CT-side, even going for a double-AWP setup at times. 910 and mzinho's A-site holds fetched TheMongolz a 11-8 lead but Rare Atom switched up the pace and brute forced their way to level the score at 11-11. TheMongolz read Rare Atom's late B-hit in the deciding round, closing out Mirage 13-11, pushing the series into the decider.
Starting off on the T-side of Inferno, it was a bLitz-Techno show that propelled TheMongolz to an 8-4 advantage in the first half. Rare Atom closed the gap at 7-8 before TheMongolz could get in their first buy round. TheMongolz dipped towards the end, fumbling utility and giving away space.
The trio of somebody, Summer and ChildKing took the fight to TheMongolz, opening up sites and forcing their way to match point at 12-9. A last second recovery from TheMongolz pushed the map into overtime where they did not drop a single round, closing out Inferno 16-12 and the series 2-1.
TheMongolz will move on to the upper-bracket finals against TYLOO while Rare Atom will take on Lynn Vision in the lower-bracket with their backs against elimination.
