Skyesports Showdown 2024 Open Qualifier: Day 2 Recap
The BO3 Qualifiers of the Open Qualifier of the Skyesports Showdown 2024 have reached its conclusion. After a grueling day of 4 BO3 matches, True Rippers, Carnival Gaming, Marcos Gaming, and Victores Sumus stood the test of time as they progressed to the playoffs.

True Rippers vs Retaliation
The first game to reach its conclusion out of the 4 matches in the Playoffs was the one between True Rippers and Retaliation. With their newest face DayMake reigning supreme on the first map Ancient, True Rippers secured a dominant 13-6 win.
In the second map Inferno, DayMake carried over his strong form with the AWP. With him and Bobzicle! topping the charts, True Rippers cruised to an even more dominant win, going past the finish line by a 13-3 margin.

Carnival Gaming vs Frag Theory
Next up was a matchup between Carnival Gaming and Frag Theory that kicked off on Ancient. Rider was on point with the big green, as his intimidating K-D of 23-8 propelled Carnival to a 13-7 win.
Similar to the first matchup, the second map saw the winning team extend their dominance. With SpawN leading by example on the second map Mirage, Carnival Gaming closed out the series with a 13-5 win on the second map.

Marcos Gaming vs ROG Academy
The clash between Marcos Gaming and ROG Academy started off with ROG Academy pulling off an upset on the first map Inferno. With all 5 of the players joining forces, ROG Gaming cruised to a commanding 13-5 win.
On the second map Anubis, however, Marcos Gaming was able to find their resurgence. With both arakyn and L0ngBarrel earning 19 kills a piece, they secured a hard-fought 13-9 win on the map, pushing the series to the distance.
The decider took us to Ancient, which saw yet another neck-to-neck affair. However, with Gh0sTTTT finding his form in time, Marcos Gaming was able to outlast their foe. Leading the chart with his 25 kills, Gh0sTTTT powered his team to a 13-11 win.

The Old School vs Victores Sumus
The final series took us to a clash between Old School and Victores Sumus. Kicking off on Inferno, Victores Sumus stayed in control throughout the map, as Recoilmaster led the server with 23 kills, while VIctores Sumus secured a 13-7 win.
Ancient continued with Victores Sumus dominating the server, as it was bb1's time to shine. With him and p7 contributing significantly in the fragging department, the series ended quickly as the second map ended with a 13-5 scoreline favoring Victores Sumus.
