ATOX flummox OG
Home team ATOX took on OG in the upper bracket quarter-final as ATOX were looking to put up a strong show for their home fans.
Starting off on the T-side of Anubis, OG looked unstoppable with the trio of F1KU, MoDo and Nexius on song. OG were 5 rounds up when ATOX clawed their first round of the map and things never really recovered for the Mongolian side as OG snatched a 9-3 half in their favor.
ATOX needed to take full advantage of Anubis's T-sidedness to have any chance of besting OG. Despite losing the pistol and anti-eco, ATOX fought fiercely stringing up 5 rounds in a row but OG were too close to the finish line at 11-8 and limped across with a 13-8 win to go 1-0 up in the series.
Going into Inferno ATOX got off to a flying start on the T-side with a dominant 6-0 and returned the favor, smashing OG to a 3-9 disadvantage in the first half. ATOX looked shaky on their CT-side, often giving up free space to OG but with a couple of good retakes, ATOX stopped OG in their tracks, snatching a 13-8 win on Inferno to level the series 1-1.
The decider took us to Ancient where started on the T-side with an explosive 5-0 lead but ATOX made an incredible recovery to level the half 6-6. dobu and kabal took the game away from OG in second half, propelling ATOX to 6 consecutive round wins to reach match point flawlessly. OG clawed back a few rounds but the climb was too step and ATOX closed out Ancient 13-9, wrapping the series 2-1.
With this win, ATOX have secured an upper-bracket semi-final appearance against BLEED. OG will face Chinggis Warriors in the lower-bracket with their backs against elimination.
