DEFAULTER stars as True Rippers take down HXG Esports
The Lower Bracket (LB) run for True Rippers at the M88 Open League Playoffs continued, as the Indian team got rid of compatriots Victores Sumus in the LB round 1 game and then were up against HXG Esports in the LB final. HXG Esports boasted of former Revenant Esports player 3nable, who played for the team in Skyesports Masters 2023.
The BO3 kicked off on True Rippers' pick of Ancient with the Indian team starting with a two-round lead. A back-and-forth affair in the second half saw the Indian team hold the early advantage but HXG's late-map power up saw them steal a 13-10 win.
Nuke started with a tied half and a tight affair saw True Rippers edge out HXG 16-14 in overtime with the duo of Crazy_Gamer and DEFAULTER stepping up once again. The decider on Inferno saw True Rippers start strong, running away to a 9-3 lead before wrapping up the decider at 13-5 to take a 2-1 series win with DEFAULTER and Crazy_Gamer both having an impactful series for the Indian team.
True Rippers now move into the Finals and will take on AngryB1RDS tomorrow.
