FURIA sends the Aussies home

A big loss for the Australians

After going down in their respective games on the opening day of the Esports World Cup 2024, Australian side FlyQuest faced FURIA in the Last Chance Stage Round 1 in a BO1 to get the second day underway.

The BO1 encounter taking place on Nuke saw FURIA start with the opening pistol on their CT side. After four consecutive rounds, FURIA dropped a 3v5 as a Liazz triple got the Australians on the board. A couple of sloppy rounds from FURIA saw FlyQuest tie things up quickly at 5-5. skullz denied aliStair a quad kill and 1v1 on the B site to make sure FURIA left the half with a lead as the Brazilians ended with a 7-5 lead.

skullz and chelo made sure there were no heroics from aliStair in the second pistol and KSCERATO's quad made sure FURIA held on against the force buy to hit double digits. A flawless T side from the Brazilians saw them run away with a 13-5 win to keep themselves alive at the Esports World Cup 2024.

The loss however meant the end of the road for FlyQuest at the Esports World Cup 2024.
