Skyesports to investigate Aurora slander
After a disappointing opening day plagued with technical hinderances and delays, entities involved in the $300,000 LAN like kassad and KRAD confirmed that the Skyesports Championship semi-LAN slowly took shape and rectified their initial mishaps, leading to a smooth second day's play.
Players from invited teams, Aurora and BetBoom were critical of the whole event to say the least. Players held back no punches as frequent posts on various social media handles showed the condition of arrangements made to accommodate players and facilitate practice sessions early on. Things took a turn when Aurora's players filmed a video of a pig in one of Mumbai's lesser developed areas which was posted by CIS CS2 NEWS, a prominent CIS-region focused CS2 news handle on X. This video subsequently received a lot of backlash from the Indian community, who stated that it was a deliberate attempt to show the country in poor light.
However in the most recent development, CIS CS2 NEWS published a post on X, alleging that Aurora's r3salt had been getting a lot of phone calls from Indian fans in response to his comments made about the tournament.
Shortly after, Team SouL's content creator Siddhant Joshi (Sid) called out the ingenuity, posting screenshots showing True Caller checks which revealed that r3salt's screenshots were filled with calls from Zomato, a popular restaurant aggregator and food delivery service.
Responding to Sid's post, the CEO of Skyesports assured the community that the organization would look into the claims and take "necessary steps". However CIS CS2 NEWS deleted their earlier post and put out a clarification and an apology for being "baited" by r3salt.
