Shiva Nandy responds to theScore esports' controversial video
A day after theScore esports had released a video about the Skyesports Championship 2024, labelling it as the 'worst Counter-Strike tournament', Skyesports' founder Shiva Nandy has come forward to share his thoughts on the matter.
Nandy acknowledged the shortcomings on the opening day, which was highlighted in details in the video, but also spoke about the quick turnaround done by Skyesports' team and running a error-free event following that. He also stated that while the criticism is valid, the video sensationalised the entire thing by being biased in their coverage shown of the event in the video.
He also stated stated that they are looking to make India a 'global esports hub' and is looking forward to host their next Counter-Strike 2 event, the Skyesports Souvenir.
theScore esports had shared details about the Skyesports Championship 2024's troubles on the opening day of the $300,000 event but the video did not have any mention about the remainder of the tournament, following the opening day, where there was a quick turnaround from Skyesports' team to host a error-free event.
