IHC eliminate Clutch Gaming
The playoffs of the MESA Asia Series kicked off with IHC taking on Clutch Gaming in the quarter-final. The first map of the bo3 took us to Nuke where Clutch Gaming went ballistic in the early game, taking a huge 0-9 lead with ORIGLONIKO putting up a 2.54 rating T-side along with an ADR of 151. The last few rounds went in favor of IHC but the half was still heavily in favor of Clutch Gaming at 9-3.
Switching over to the T-side, Zesta and ROUX stepped up, giving IHC a 4-0 start, closing in on Clutch Gaming's lead at 7-9. Despite dropping a couple of rounds, IHC overtook Clutch Gaming to secure match point at 12-11, with a formidable comeback. Clutch Gaming pushed the game into overtime but IHC put up a flawless 4-0 overtime, stealing Nuke away from Clutch Gaming with a 16-12 scoreline.
Starting on the T-side of Anubis, Clutch Gaming once again got off to a solid start but four rounds in, IHC put an early end to the streak and went on to win every single round in the half thereafter. After securing an 8-4 half, IHC went on to win the pistol and anti-eco to start to second further strengthening their hold on Anubis.
Clutch Gaming briefly bounced back with a string of rounds but could not scale up and close the gap as IHC posted a comfortable 13-8 win on Anubis, wrapping the series 2-0. The last minute invitees, Clutch Gaming end their MESA Asia Series #1 run in the quarter-final and IHC book their semi-final showing against The Huns.
