Alter Ego crash out of Asia RMR
Lynn Vision took on Alter Ego in the first lower bracket game at the Asia-Pacific RMR. Alter Ego started on the T-side of Ancient with BnTeT and dobu running down the CTs. Alter Ego could not capitalise on their 5-1 lead as Lynn Vision recovered to salvage a 5-7 half, slightly in favor of Alter Ego.
After winning the pistol and anti-eco to start the second half Alter Ego faltered as they were unable to contain Lynn Vision’s T-side. Lynn Vision’s gun rounds saw them hit a seven-rounds streak to close out Ancient 13-10.
The second map took us to Dust2 where Alter Ego conceded the pistol round but stole the anti-eco, disrupting Lynn Vision's economy. XigN's 120 ADR CT-side performance made things very hard for Lynn Vision as the Chinese ended up with a 4-8 disadvantage at half-time. flying and EmiliaQAQ stepped up on Lynn Vision's CT-side, putting up five rounds in a row to steal Alter Ego's lead but BnTeT and co. recovered and displayed a formidable T-side to close out Dust2 13-9 and level the series 1-1.
Nuke played out as the decider where Lynn Vision went ballistic in the first half as Alter Ego were pushed down to an early 1-8 disadvantage. Despite getting a couple of plants towards the end of the half, Alter Ego still suffered a 4-8 disadvantage at half-time. z4kr's 1.97 rating CT-side performance put Lynn Vision well ahead in the race for Nuke.
Alter Ego completely fell apart on the T-side, managing to secure just a single round as Lynn Vision closed out Nuke 13-4 with a near-flawless T-side. With this win, Lynn Vision await their lower semi-final matchup against Rare Atom or TALON as Alter Ego crash out of Major contention with back to back losses at the Asia RMR.
