Liquid humble FlyQuest after a near flawless win
After a blistering 2-0 start to the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, FlyQuest's momentum has now been slowed down by Liquid.
In the 2-0 bracket, the Liquid-FlyQuest matchup kicked up the way most matches for the Aussies have. On the first map Inferno, FlyQuest boasted a 10-2 lead at the end of their CT-side, and closed it out in the second half to put up a dominant 13-5 win on the board.
It seemed to be another whitewash from the Aussies, before jks stepped up to play. On the second map Anubis, amidst a 6-6 half and a stellar show on the T-side, jks quickly rose up to a 1.80 rated performance, as Liquid secured a 13-9 win.
With all eyes on the final map, Nuke, the anticipation reached its peak. However, the Aussie fans, except those rooting for jks, grew silent with each passing round, as Liquid secured a flawless 12-0 half. While FlyQuest managed to deter the 0-13 loss, they could not extend play further as they went down by a 1-13 margin.
